I’m certainly no fan of the Hero of Chappaquiddick. He’s a prime example of how money and influence can buy ones way out of just about anything. As early as 1994, National Review called him the “Godfather of the Immmigration Mess”, with a track record going all the way back to the 1965 Hart-Celler Act. There are numerous other liberal causes that Kennedy has championed over his nearly five decades in the Senate. No wonder he supports Obama – birds of a feather and all that.
But wishing him dead? That smacks a little too much of Bill Maher on Dick Cheney or the DailyKos on Tony Snow.

I understand that it might be considered harsh, but the fact is Kennedy is a sworn enemy of the US. If he were charged with sedition and fully investigated as he and his ilk should be, I think he would be convicted.
I think I posted this before but review it again. If not executed for crimes against America then certainly heshould hae been for Mary Jo.

Having found out today that Senator Kennedy has been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, I can empathize with him.
I received a diagnosis of prostate cancer a little over a year ago, and although my particular form of cancer is usually much more treatable and normally has a much better prognosis than brain cancer, I have some idea of what he must be going through right now.
Despite my vehement disagreement with him politically, I’ll be praying for Senator Kennedy’s recovery. I would much rather see him rendered politically irrelevant through the ballot box in 2012 than to see him leave the political stage this way.
I had forgotten that Justice Roberts also suffered a seizure about 10 months ago which was met with a similar reaction by the leftists. In retrospect, it’s interesting to read what Bodacious (and celtictexan in his comment) wrote about this at the time. Here’s a link to the post:

If he doesn’t deserve this death for the many troops killed because of his liberal policies (aid and comfort to the enemy), the deaths of untold babies through his support of abortion, the destruction of American culture trough his immigration reform, then surely you must agree that for the death of Mary Jo, and his deplorable actions afterward his deserved death is long overdue.
May he suffer long for his crimes, and when the end comes may he burn in hell for all time. And I’m sure that there is an extra hot spot for these kinds of drunken vermin.
And as far as the ballot box goes, the Kennedy’s have owned those from the time of John K.’s victory over Nixon in 1960, with a whole lot of help from the crooked voting in Chicago ran by Richard Daley and others around the country. The Kennedy’s were scum. Crooked thieving lying pigs interested in nothing but stuffing their pockets, and power. Good luck to all the Senatorial and Congressional pant loads representing all the Massholes in Washington. They still have Kerry and the socialist traditions will live on.

For better or worse, he wasn’t convicted of (or even indicted for) treason. That’s pretty hard to pin on a sitting U.S. senator. For instance, Patrick Leahy leaked sensitive information regarding no fewer than three covert operations, yet he was “allowed” to resign his chairmanship of the Senate intelligence committee.

As horrific as abortion is, it’s unfortunately been legal in the U.S. since 1973. I don’t believe in the kind of vigilante justice that abortion clinic bombers or abortionist assassins engage in.

We’ll never know whether Kennedy’s role in Mary Jo Kopechne’s death amounted to first degree murder, manslaughter, or vehicular homocide, because he bought his way out of any real justice. Had her death been premeditated by Kennedy, then by all means yes, he should have paid for it with his life.
I guess the bottom line is that it’s not for me to say who’s to live and who’s to die. I’m certainly not a pacifist (I wouldn’t have lasted 20 years in the U.S. Army if I was), but when it comes to political opponents, wishing death on them is a two-way street. I wouldn’t want to give the Left any justification for similar sentiments about conservative politicians. My faith teaches me that vengeance belongs to the Lord.
I’m not so arrogant as to speculate whether Kennedy’s malignant brain tumor is punishment from God, but I do know one thing: whatever God has in store for Edward M. Kennedy is infinitely more just than anything celtictexan or Curious Texan could think up. I’m all for leaving it up to Him at this point.
