Today I upgraded to Wordpress 2.1 and added a new theme that is easier on the eyes and add Ajax functionality. I think its really cool but there are still a few minor adjustments I want to make.
I decided to fill you in on some of the details of the new upgrade.
The buttons in the red box below do just as they say, or are supposed to anyways, add blocks and reset layout are useless atm. Collaple all will shrink all of the posts to just show titles. Scroll down will take you to the bottom of the page, this is where you will login at.
This Icon will collapse a single post. If you don’t want to look at that picture below just click this icon on the post and it will hide the contents of that post. Click the button again to reveal the contents of that post.
Clicking this button will scroll the page down to the next post.
Clicking this button will scroll the page up to the previous post.
The search feature is very sleek. As you type it will search the blog and display results. It does display it over they text field but you can backspace and keep typing if needed. The results look like this:
If you click on “Go to resultspage” listed will be all of the results displayed in the box in their expanded form.
The comments have their own RSS feeds. If there happens to be a long discussion going on that you would like to keep up with you can subscribe your favoirite RSS aggregator to a specifict topic on ivorydome and recieve updates to the topic as they are posted.
There is lots of other little stuff and there are bugs as well. Let me know what bugs you find.
