This site was a Good choice

I have to admit that at first I was not to crazy about moving Ivorydome from blogspot. It seemed to “busy”, to me, and harder to work with. But I’ve really grown like it. One reason is that, If you watch closely, you will see that the ad’s that constantly change, and often follow what we post about. This many times leads to interesting reading. But you have to be quick as they change nearly everytime I log on.

Yesterday this link was up. Regardless of religious belief, I was surprised at how closely this described described events in the middle east. It mirror’s much of my own thought. Check it out.

As a Christian, I believe in end times prophecy. But whether we are now in the end times (or even approaching the end times) is difficult to ascertain. The signs of the times seemed to point that way before (e.g. the Six-Day War, the Yom Kippur War, etc.). There’s also been a great debate over who is/will be the anti-Christ, ranging everywhere from Hitler to Prince Charles (yes, the crown prince of the United Kingdom, if you can believe it).

I believe that biblical prophecy is deliberately vague so that we don’t become too complacent. Someone once said that we should plan as if we still had 1,000 years and live as if He were coming tomorrow.

Someday we’ll look back at end times prophecy and say, “Of course it had to unfold that way” much in the same way that we look at messianic prophecy today. That day may be closer than we think. The question is not “When?”, but rather “Will you be ready?”

I totally agree with the end time thing. No one knows for sure. I remember in the 6th grade we were all out side at recess and this huge reddish black cloud on the ground rolling in on us. It was thousands of feet high and you could actually see it rolling. One not so brite kid was terrified screaming tht it was the end of the world. He managed to get most of us were pretty nervous.

But it turned out to just be an unusually large and visible sand storm coming in. (not unusual for Kermit TX) I learned then not to listen to to much of things like that.

But what really interested me about the link on my post, was the real time politics of the world today, centering around Islamic militancy with China lurking in the background.

I don’t want to see it. But tention in the world is at a snapping point. I just can’t see real peace in the future. I thought that site laid it out pretty well. Tribulation or not, end of times or not. I think things are about to get really bad. And we all better be ready for it.
