By sword or by bent knee, Islam’s goal is to dominate the world. Here we see the acceleration of the fall of America. While Christianity has long been under attack by liberals, they will approach this with widespread arms. Take a long look at the true face of Islam.
If you don’t know the custom of swearing oath (There much disagreement on this) on a bible was started by George Washington when he was elected our first president. Legend has it that he added the words “so help me God” and used either his family bible, or one borrowed from a nearby Masonic lodge.
While it is true that perhaps for the first time, a true test of the separation of government and religion is facing America, it is a test that should never have been allowed to happen. In this case I must agree that he be allowed to take his oath on the Qu’ran as to not do so would truly be a violation of the 1st amendment.
But this man, Keith Ellison, a former member of the Racist group Nation of Islam, should never have been elected. Many years of every conceivable way of tearing down the Judea Christian principals this Nation was built upon has culminated in setting the stage for a dangerous, violent and intellectually backward group of people under the guise of Islam to advance their gutter culture.
The many years of liberal effort to destroy everything Christian, everything derived from Western Culture is about to pay off. We are about to see the rise of Islam in America.

I agree he should never have been elected, although not for the reasons you stated. He shouldn’t have been elected because his politics are too far left. The same can be said of Vermont’s Representative (now Senator-Elect) Sanders, whose political leanings are even further left than Ellison’s. Our nation has survived the election of racists (Strom Thurmond and Robert Byrd come to mind), due to the fact that racists either moderate their views or they are voted out of office.
I agree that radical Islam poses a threat to the Judeo-Christian traditions of this country, but I disagree that such a threat comes from a former Nation of Islam member. Beginning next year, the Congressional Islamic Caucus will comprise about two-tenths of one percent of the House of Representatives. I don’t expect this number to rise significantly any time soon.
Ironically, there are some areas where Christian, Jewish, and Islamic values converge. To the extent possible, all three faiths should work together to preserve those values. Even within the pro-life movement, there is an organization called “Atheists for Life.” I once heard that at pro-life meeting, a Christian pro-lifer stood up and quipped that she thanked God for atheists like this, which apparently brought roars of laughter from the audience, to include the atheists.
Religion per se is not the problem. There are Muslims who want “to destroy everything Christian, everything derived from Western Culture,” but as celtictexan aptly put it, there are liberals who want the same thing. We need to counter their efforts regardless of their religious persuasion (or lack of it).
One last comment on religion and politics. Last night on TV, I heard the political pundits speculating yet again whether conservative Christians would support Mitt Romney for President. What they fail to see is that Mormon values are very close to Christian values, although their theology is quite different. As for me, I wouldn’t vote for Mitt Romney to be my pastor, but from everything I’ve seen so far, I’d be perfectly comfortable with him as my president.

I agree with you on most areas but I don’t think he should have not been elected for the reasons you state. If that is who the people want that is what they get. If people who vdid not vote for him don’t like it they can move to an area with a representative that better suits their needs. After all, if they are living in an area where liberals are the majority I would want to move anyways.
That the People like him, and elected him is the whole point of my post and is what I fear for our country. Islam is growing rapidly in the US among the poor. It’s true that a person could move but as with Liberals now (the past congressional election), getting away from Islam, soon might not be a choice.
Lets not forget that while Christianity and our form of democracy compliment and strengthen each other, Islam and democracy are at opposites. The day he takes his oath on the Koran he will immediately be at conflict with the constitution and the bill of rights. Which will he serve?
