Laughter Abound

Thursday, July 27th, 2006

I laughed aloud when I read this the night before in reference to the Democratic party:

The Netroots along with many of the OG – Original Grassroots – are frustrated with the lack of success of the party that so obviously represents all the people.

And today I read this from righwingnews.com:

While 59 percent of Americans told an Associated Press poll this month that they disapproved of President Bush’s handling of Iraq, 64 percent disapproved of the Democrats’ handling of it. While 62 percent of Americans told a Washington Post/ABC News poll last month that they disapproved of Bush’s handling of the war, an even higher percentage of respondents, 71 percent, said the Democrats do not offer clear alternatives.

Ok, so the war is just one issue that democrats are disconnected from the people about. But it doesn’t matter if the democrats are connected with the people on other issues or not. What matters is what I think, because I say so. Do you disagree? Probably so, but let me tell you where I derive my logic.

You see, to the left, or at least a few people from that side of the aisle, argument with facts to back those arguments up don’t matter, as long as I think I am right combined with a need for laziness, as illustrated by this quote from a member of the “Truth” squad:

Bo, the reality based community has tried reasoning with wingnuts for the past 6 years. When people make stuff up, repeat known lies, and make irrational arguments it is a waste of time to debate them. It takes one minute to regurgitate some assinine talking point you can’t even recall correctly. It’s takes at least a half hour to research the stupid remarks to figure out just where such drivel originates. Then you spend days arguing over the meaning of words. It’s more effective and takes less time to just point and laugh.

This quote came after I politely requested explination as to why the author this editorial was, among other things, “…he has no f**kin’ idea of what he speaks…” and what was wrong about the article. I will point out, however, that eventually my request was answered with a thought out argument based on the author’s facts. However, the author of those comments probably fits into his peer’s category that he is not in a “career that does not have a god-da** thing to do with exploring modern economic theory,” thoughroughly invalidating his argument.

So there you have it friends. If you want to do argue against the left come up with one fact to counter their argument and either they will rationalize that you are an idiot and they will be too lazy to argue back (9 times out of 10 they are probably wrong and know it, which is why they will attack you in the first place) or they will come back with their own facts, in which case you better be able to prover your point. Don’t worry though, in the above exchange, out of 7 posters, excluding myself because I asked the question, only 1 was able to begin to rationalize why the editorial’s author was wrong.

Reality based indeed.

God and Evolution

Can both be true? I say yes too both. In a fascinating new book Francis S. Collins, M.D., Ph.D. speaks to this issue. His Citations
in his field are impeccable. He is a devout Christian. Albert Einstein’s entire life, and especially his later life’s work, in Science revolved around trying to prove God’s plan. His later life’s work were considered by many of his colleagues to have been wasted. Science is moving closer to solving the theory of everything. Could it be that Einstein the second greatest mind (Newton generally considered the best) of all time was right. Scientist all over the world are beginning to take more interest in the work of his final years as they seek the theory of everything. Is God the missing element? Are men like Francis Collins about to add the final ingredient? God? Science shows us, people of faith, on average, live longer healthier lives and are happier. Have average people of faith already discovered the theory of everything?

I’ve long been torn between the two choices. I have always, on my own, studied science and technology. Science was always my favorite subject in school. Religion, and the many philosophies derived from it have also, always fascinated me.

I firmly believe that the day proto-human became fully human, was the day that someone, some where, at some point, realized that he or she was alive, and at some point going to die. That awesome realization IMHO was the wellspring, by way of religion, of civilization and government, rule of law, and all knowledge accumulated to this point in time. Perhaps even the basis for the development of true language. Even a primate as intelligent as a chimpanzee although able to, express many emotions, even grieve almost certainly have no true understanding of life and death.

Research has shown that there is even an area of the brain, as in speech, vision etc. dedicated to religion. Every one has heard the near death stories people experience. I saw my uncle reach for God as he died as spoken of in my post, “Where have the real Democrats gone.” I’ve heard another family story about my great grandmother, and the last day of her life. She would point up and say “Look at the Angels, aren’t they beautiful?”

Evolution is also with out question, a fact. We see it today in the appearance of new diseases. Man has learned to manipulate genes, to speed up evolution to create disease resistant food crops, dogs bred for specific purposes, or a horse that can run ever faster. Eugenics, although considered by most morally wrong, by way of speeding up evolution, could be the one thing that could truly bring equality to all people. Evolution by nature, or by plan does exist. Creation in Genesis follows exactly what evolution shows. First nothing, then the big bang. Matter is created. Then the planets and stars form from that matter. Next comes water and primitive life. Then finally man. The peak of life, in terms of God or of evolution.

Evolution is easy verifiable in a million different ways and examples. God is not so easy. God depends on the faith of the inner soul. And which God is the real one? There have been thousands. Always one main God and a host of lesser Gods. Or perhaps just one God and his angels (The Angels being the lesser Gods) expressed differently, by different cultures.

And with the knowledge of life and death, came the greatest knowledge of all. The knowledge of good and evil. What were the laws of nature, became the laws of good and evil, of God and the Devil. Evil and the devil in his many forms also have been worshiped.

Why do liberals hate God so much? How can they hate God at all as most do not believe? How could the teaching of intelligent design along with evolution, be so disturbing to them? What could it possibly hurt? We have watched liberals take over control of the media and the government. With each step forward in their plan, we see de-evolution. They seek to make equal, lifestyles and people who clearly are not equal. They seek to excuse almost every crime as the fault of the government or the religious right. The fault of God. Ann Coulter says it best. Liberals although denying theology are in fact neo-devil worshipers. They seek to make evil normal. Good irrelevant. But we see a dramatically rising violent crime rate. We see our cities and schools beginning to decay. Liberals see “progress.” I see a return to the laws of nature, the violent laws of the jungle.

I knew a very devout Jehovah Witness once. He believed it a sin to speak of anything but God and work. He was part of our work crew. There were eight of us. We all went to our jobs in two company vehicles. The other six tried hard to avoid him and his “preaching” and all ride in the one vehicle. But like I said, I was fascinated with this kind of thing so I would ride with him and debate the issue of God. He asked me once why the others were so uncomfortable around him. I thought I knew why but fained ignorance for the sake of his feelings. His answer was not what I expected but was very meaningful to a young 17 year old. He said it wasn’t them that was uncomfortable, but the devil in them, uncomfortable with the God that was in him. This was, and still is a powerful statement. Are liberals controlled by the devil? Is that why they are so scared of God. Is it the devil that is really so afraid of morality and good?

One by one the smartest, most talented, Scientist of our time are beginning to see God and his grand plan. I think it to be good thing for us all.

Global Warming and Faith in Science

Tuesday, July 25th, 2006

With the events of the last two weeks proving conclusively that the “war on terra” is nothing more than a fabrication of Bush consisting of 9-11, Iraq, Al Qaeda, and imaginary WMD’s all tied together with chicken wire, our progressive friends have now moved on to other issues. Like Cincinnatus withdrawing to his farm after saving the Roman Republic, they have retreated to their tomato patch for Sunday lectures about how we’re destroying the planet.

The High Priest of the Religion of Science has warned me that heresy will not be tolerated, so I’ll confine myself to explaining Scripture with Scripture. After all, I don’t want to be excommunicated into eternal damnation like Dr. Seitz (I hasten to add here that I never cited any of his works, lest I befall the same fate). I’ve also decided to post my theses on the door of the Ivory Dome (which of course is never visited by any of the Clergy) lest they banish me to the fiery pit for my impudence.

I’ve searched the Scientific Scriptures for apocalyptic prophecy and offer two interesting ones from four decades ago for your consideration:

“In the 1970s the world will undergo famines – hundreds of millions of people are going to starve to death in spite of any crash programs embarked upon now.”
Paul Ehrlich, Preface to The Population Bomb, 1968

“If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder by the year 2000….This is about twice what it would take to put us in an ice age.”
Kenneth E. F. Watt on air pollution and global cooling, Earth Day 1970.

Here are three more prophecies from the last two years that predict it’s already too late as far as global warming is concerned:

http://living.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=76062006

http://www.commondreams.org/headlines06/0403-01.htm

However, some have cited the prophet Albert (peace be upon him) in predicting that we still may have 9 years, 187 days before the Earth turns into a frying pan:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/01/25/AR2006012502230.html

Reverend Gore asks the question, “Are you will to change the way you live?” Given the chance he might be right, my wife and I started turning our summer thermostat up to 78 degrees, using ceiling fans instead of air conditioning, and trying to do at least some office work remotely from our home computer. Even though my daily commute is less than 16 miles roundtrip, if I have to go to the office on weekends, I try to consolidate it with another trip in that direction (e.g. right after church on Sundays).

To the High Priest (who by his own admission commutes “a little less than an hour”), I offer this question: Are you willing to: 1) conduct your English classes via webcam; 2) take a job in the Amarillo ISD and give up your seniority; or 3) move to Dumas? Think of all the greenhouse gases you’ll save over the next five years, before you finally leave the Panhandle for good! (I’m not urging you to leave; this was again by your own admission.)

Let he who commutes less than 20 minutes cast the first stone.

Is this how the left really feels?

Friday, July 21st, 2006

Sgt. Leonid Milkin, while deployed in Iraq, had his entire family murdered. Wife, two children, and sister in-law. Who is responsible for this crime you ask? George W Bush of course!

Here is what some comments to the news story were:

Thanks to Bush cheney and Ratsfeld
.He must feel like the Louisana National guardsmen in iraq whose fanily members died while they were sent to the middle east to insure oil and war profits for the Petroleaum plutocrats in the white house.

Maybe he signed up for the wrong profession because who in their right mind would want to be a army man? He should have studied harder in school and found a real job instead of joining the army. Lmao , be all u can be? Don’t patronize me ! People who join the army either have no education or come from small towns.. He should blame himself for his family dying due to his lack of education.

Too bad the paid assasin wasn’t home also… Got what he deserved for serving an illegal government in an illegal war.

Too bad the paid assasin wasn’t home also… Got what he deserved for serving an illegal government in an illegal war.

The p***k bush has cut funds to lock away the lunatics, just to pay for his illegal war. May the same fate await the evil bushites…….they are evil and will be treated as such. They, the pig bushites, are truly the enemies of America!

Bush and republicans put them both in harms way……….If he had been home this would have never happened….instead he is risking his life for another republican lost cause….

MOre Deaths indirectly caused by Geroge W. BUSH!!!! If he didnt lie to start a war…..and the husband was at home, the people would all be alive. The was is for Halleburton, Exxon MObile, and all the other members of the Industrial military complex, who ar to benefit by this war. THANKS BUSH, hope you can sleep nights… But people without a conscious dont have trouble sleeping…I guess.

I can understand the hate for GWB, but to post such comments in response to one of our finest citizen’s tragedy is beyond appalling.

If you feel the need to donate money to help this soldier out here is the info:

A memorial fund has been set by the family at US Bank under the name “Kirkland House Fire Victims.” Also, the Washington National Guard set up a financial assistance fund in Leonid Milkin’s name at the American Lake Credit Union in Camp Murray. The account number is 13743:Camp Murray Branch

My Opinion On the Israel/Hamas/Hizbollah conflict

Wednesday, July 19th, 2006

Honestly I hjave not read too much or kept up with the goings on in the past few weeks. The situation doesn’t bother me.

I don’t think what is going on today is world war 3 either. To me, israel fighting it’s neighbors is nothing new. This time the situation is more reported because hamas was elected over there, recent escalations with Iran’s genocidal rhetoric, and the war in Iraq.

As always the MSM will over report things and blow things out of poportion. This combined with propaganda from both sides of the aisle we aren’t going to know the whole of the story for some time to come.

If I were forced to choose who to side with I would of course pick Israel simply because of the recent history that Hamas and Hizbollah have displayed in their warfighting tactics such as using innocent human shields to deter Israel from attacking them. I have not seen anything Israel has done to put them in the same category as terrorists.

Pardon my spelling, I am still getting used to my blackberry.

Where have the real Democrats gone part 2

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

Make no mistake most of the problems of our society are the fault of the baby boomers, or as I like to say the Hippies. I was a hippy. The story I’m about to tell is the story of the failure of the baby boomers the Hippy’s.

I know a young man who at 15 became involved with meth. That involvement ended up costing him a year in reform school. I think it’s got a more PC name these days but a rose by any other name etc. Anyway he reminds me of me. I at an early and undisciplined (young dumb and full of cum) time in my life also became involved in the old Timothy Leary mind expansion experiments. I don’t want to sound prideful, so instead of saying I was smarter than most, I will say that I paid attention to my vibes more than most. You old hippies will know what I mean. Anyway, I joined the Navy. After a couple of beatings (commonly called an attitude adjustment from men much more disciplined and wiser than me) I finally decided to get on the right road, and eventually realized that I was, in fact, on the right road.

Times have changed. The young man I am speaking of on one hand has been given a good chance at making a positive change in his life. His going to reform school has earned him $18,000.00 toward college. He received drug counseling. The value of counseling being a subject for another post. But so far he has stayed off drugs

He has just turned 18. His mother had to kick him out of her house as she is on welfare and is unable to get housing assistance if he lives there. His father is in the pen for child molestation. (Probably because of your, and others of your ilk, and the Supreme Courts support Clint.) He works two jobs, both fast food and low pay. After all, those places don’t have to pay decent wages, as there are always illegals to take the job. He has managed to get a car that barely runs and has so far accumulated $600. in fines for no insurance. Mandatory insurance being, again, modern democratic insanity, and another soon to come post.

Back too the original topic. This young mans life is the fault of modern democrats IE old hippy’s. The drug dealers in modern democratic wisdom are just poor folks trying to make a living. Worthy of chance after chance with no thought as to the thousands of young life’s being ruined and worse ended. In Roosevelt’s time these drug dealers would have been locked away forever. In that time Democrats would have supported the working people. Now through ever escalating taxes to support those who choose not to work they hurt the working people. In that time they would have worked to help all young men and women get on that right road, even if it took a few beatings to keep them on that road, knowing that eventually they would realize as I did that they were in fact on the right road.

This young man trying as hard as he is, might well fail as the cops stop him ever time he is seen, got to keep those racial profiling quotas at the correct percentaged not to mention the fines that support the social programs. He can’t drive, as it’s a choice of insurance or food and a roof over his head. The roof and food takes two jobs, when will he go to class and study? How will he even get to that job and school?

Modern democrats have allowed their once great party to be usurped by liberals and unions. No longer do they work for the ordinary citizen. Now they are all about every type of perversion even child porn. They have created “ hate laws” that elevate the worst of this countries citizenry to a status above the rest of us. They degrade and mock the religion most responsible for our freedoms while protecting and even idolizing the IslamoNazis. They are and encourage us to be cowards. The type of coward who will willingly wear the political chains of slavery. They are responsible for the crimes of this young mans father, they are responsible for the welfare cycle his mother and so many like her have become dependant on, they are responsible for the laws that force the police to harass him instead of going after the big dealers. And they are responsible for the courts allowing big dealers (not to mention the lawyers appointed at tax payer expense) to thrive. They have turned our schools into, not places of education, but places of reeducation as they have mass media. They eternally confuse each new wave of students as to what the roles of men and women are. They confuse them as to their own sexuality and teach them to accept any act of perversion as normal. They plant the seeds of the blame America first mentality. They have completely rewritten history; making the founding fathers of America’s greatness, the fathers of Americas supposed failures. They kill babies by the millions while coddling murders and child rapist. They have changed this country from a great melting pot to a multicultural nightmare.

They have made it easy for this young man and countless others like him to fail. $18,000. For college sounds good. But he’ll get no other help, as this young man is a white male. On his shoulders rest the blame for the supposed failures of all other races, women, non-American cultures, and persons who have mental disorders (perverts). Most help will be reserved for them. The blame, that originates in liberal thinking. Blame that originates in the modern Democratic party. Where have the real Democrats gone? The real champions of the workingman. As with Joe Lieberman they have been suppressed, hidden by liberals. I wish they would fight back and reclaim their once great party
